About Us

Founded in 2020, Inclusive Fairborn is a grassroots nonprofit built on the principles of solidarity and mutual aid. We believe in neighbors supporting neighbors to meet the needs of our community and resist systemic inequities. Through shared resources and collective care, we work to ensure that everyone in Fairborn, Ohio, has what they need to thrive. Whether it’s distributing groceries, clothing, and medicine, assembling care kits for unhoused neighbors, or raising funds for urgent needs, our work is rooted in collaboration and compassion. Together, we are building a Fairborn where no one is left behind, and everyone is empowered to take part in shaping a better future.

Our Mission

At Inclusive Fairborn, we believe it’s our social responsibility to care for one another. We’re neighbors supporting neighbors. We meet urgent needs by fulfilling mutual aid requests—whether that’s helping with rent and utility bills, sharing groceries and baby items, or providing whatever else someone might need to get by. We also host monthly food distributions, put on Fairborn Pride, and hold community events to build inclusion and solidarity right here.

We’ve served over 1,500 community members since 2020. This year alone, we’ve stopped evictions, cleared utility debt, and provided groceries and essentials to keep families stable. Our work is about meeting people’s immediate needs while we build a Fairborn where everyone has the tools to thrive. We’re building a just and inclusive future, together.

Our Goals

In the short term, we aim to mobilize our neighbors to join us in building a stronger network of care and support. Looking ahead, we envision Inclusive Fairborn as a vibrant hub for community empowerment, rooted in solidarity and mutual aid. Our long-term goals include:

• Establishing a community center to serve as a space for resource sharing, education, and connection.
• Creating a free store within the center to ensure everyone has access to essential items without barriers.
• Organizing monthly mutual aid distributions.
• Launching a mutual aid fund to help neighbors with housing, employment, education, emergencies, and financial needs like bills and debts.

Free and Low-Cost Community Resources!

Inclusive Fairborn connects our community to vital resources, including mutual aid networks, housing assistance, LGBTQ+ support, food access, harm reduction, and mental health services. From legal aid and tenant rights to free meals, transportation, and gender-affirming healthcare, our resource hub ensures no one is left behind. We also provide educational tools on decolonization, disability justice, and community organizing, empowering Fairborn residents to navigate systemic challenges while fostering solidarity, equity, and care.
