Founded in 2020, Inclusive Fairborn is a nonprofit organization dedicated to fostering equity, diversity, and inclusivity in the city of Fairborn, Ohio. Our organization was born out of a collective desire to address the systemic inequalities and social injustices prevalent in our community. With a mission to alleviate poverty and empower individuals from all walks of life, Inclusive Fairborn has been working tirelessly to create a thriving and inclusive community where everyone has equal opportunities to succeed.
From the beginning, our organization recognized the power of collaboration and collective action for the betterment of the community. We have actively sought partnerships with residents, local organizations, and businesses that share our vision of a more inclusive and equitable society. By connecting resources, knowledge, and networks, we aim to create a strong support system that uplifts and empowers every individual in our community. We first began by hosting and establishing the first Pride in Fairborn ever in 2021. Now it is an annual event that has city-wide involvement. We planned the first Juneteenth celebration in 2022. In 2022 we began partnering with the Greene County Public Health Department to distribute hot meals, medical supplies, and resources to low-income residents.
From partnering with GCPH came the resource delivery program in 2023. Through this program, we address the pressing issue of poverty by offering vital resources, educational opportunities, and support systems to those in need. In collaboration with the Greene County Health Department and with the generous support of the community, we have been able to make an impact in improving the lives of individuals and families facing financial hardships. Our goal is to empower individuals by equipping them with the tools and skills they need to overcome barriers and achieve their goals at no cost to them.
Over the years, Inclusive Fairborn has grown in both size and impact. While our team remains small and we are seeking volunteers, we have been able to establish community events, and the resource delivery program, and support harm reduction with GCPH.
Inclusive Fairborn invites all individuals who share our passion for creating lasting change to join us in our mission. Together, we can foster equity, diversity, and inclusivity, and build a community where everyone has an equal chance to thrive. By working hand in hand towards a brighter future, we can promote social justice, and sustainability, and create a sense of belonging and empowerment for all residents of Fairborn, Ohio.

Our Goals
We are committed to creating a more equitable, inclusive, and resilient community. Our goals guide our efforts and ensure we are making a meaningful impact. Looking towards the future, we have ambitious long-term objectives for Inclusive Fairborn, including establishing a community center that serves as a hub for support and empowerment. We aim to grow our volunteer base, host more educational and free events, and collaborate with more community partners. We also aspire to support the community in achieving sustainability, including growing their own food, and to advocate for social change through policy. Additionally, we plan to expand our resource delivery program, create a community fund for sustained financial assistance, and partner with local Indigenous people to purchase land and steward a food forest, promoting sustainability and food security. By pursuing these goals, we strive to make a lasting, positive impact on our community, ensuring everyone has the opportunity to live with dignity and hope.
